Charon Universe AS is a multi-venture technology house supporting education, engineering and literature based products and services. Every portal in the portfolio is a production system with its own customers, its own deployment pipeline and a written operating manual.

We also take over infrastructure provided by investors and partners, and bring it onto our standard: isolated server blocks per venture, per-domain certificates and DNS, reproducible deploys from a single source of truth, and a handover document for every machine we run.

All intellectual property developed under the house is documented, versioned and transferable. A system we hand over can be run and maintained by an engineer who has not worked with us before.

For engineering software we work on a Bring Your Own Licence basis. Rule books and standards such as IMO publications are costly and are licensed to the party that uses them. The customer holds that licence, and we build the software that performs the calculations against it. Where a customer prefers a finished product, our calculation engines are also available as standalone licences.
